This unique CE approved Integra axle assembly is a combination of ideas from the Fountain Trailers team working with AL-KO axles, Europe's leading axle manufacturer. The fully galvanised axle, which is fitted as standard, incorporates additional mounting brackets, increasing stability and strength throughout the chassis range.
The Integra axle features a unique independent suspension system with the outer tube having an irregular hexagonal form and a tri-lobal inner tube which attaches the arm, sandwiching three rubber elements in place. This provides a suspension and a shock absorbing quality giving excellent damping characteristics which are progressive and the overall design outperforms comparable systems. This progressive damping also provides improved stability and handling, increasing safety and, more importantly, produces a far gentler action on the towing vehicle. This new design is patented.
All Integra axles are pre-tracked at the factory to ensure accurate alignment, again, contributing to stability, and most importantly reduces unnecessary tyre wear. Integra naturally incorporates auto-reverse overrun brakes.
